Additive Manufacturing
PA12 FR
The new PA12 FR allows us to offer flame-retardant parts for the first time manufactured through MultiJet Fusion technology.
Thanks to our collaboration with HP during this beta phase, we are one of the few companies worldwide —and the first in Europe— selected to work with this material.
30 years developing polymer solutions
Over the years, we have supported our clients in replacing metal components with plastic solutions, taking advantage of polymers: lightweight for greater energy efficiency, resistance to wear and friction, superior thermal and electrical insulation, and cost reductions due to more efficient manufacturing processes.
Since 2014, driven by the growing demand for safer polymers in response to fire risks in sectors like railways and electronics, Bronymec has taken on the inherent flammability challenge of polymers. To comply with standards such as UL94 V0 and EN45545-2, we have expanded our portfolio with the Glastech® line, a range of flame-retardant (FR) materials previously available only for machined parts.
HP’s MJF technology enables the production of highly durable parts with almost any geometry and with tolerances comparable to those achieved through machining. Its printing speed makes it a highly cost-competitive option for mass production.
We are committed to Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) as the key to unlocking the full potential of additive manufacturing. This approach allows us to design optimized components from the outset, adapting geometries to leverage the unique advantages of 3D printing.
Why PA12 FR?
Lightweighting
Our focus is on providing lightweight, efficient designs by optimizing parts to maximize performance while minimizing costs:
- Design optimization: reduces part weight without compromising structural strength
- Reduced material usage: lowers material consumption and overall production costs
Luma Service
Luma Service is an engineering service, the aim of which is to design lightweight parts that guarantee efficiency and cost reduction, both economically and in terms of energy.
Luma is Basque for “feather”. The feather is a very light biological material, made up of an unusual combination of structural characteristics that enable a perfect balance between lightness, stiffness, and strength.
Luma Service has been conceived to offer industry lightweight designs. We seek more efficient designs by providing solely the necessary material in the right place.
The rest is inefficient: unnecessary weight that incurs excess energy costs, avoidable consumption of plastic material and over dimensioned elements that generate excessive loads on the production equipment.
